This is a Lionel 3814 Vintage O Prewar Operating Merchandise Car. This operating merchandise car features two metal box couplers, brake wheels, sliding doors, and metal wheels. When activated by a RCS or UCS track section the door opens and the merchandise cubes fly out. The 3814 was one of the first Lionel operating cars.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. These cars show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. These cars show spots of rust on the chassis and trucks. The non-operating door is very loose and slides around. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of significant wear.
